NUK silicone teats are made of high quality synthetic materials. The transparent silicone material is particularly resistant to temperature. Exposure to direct sunlight or fat from food will not age the silicone teat. However, silicone teats are easily damaged. Therefore, silicone teats must be replaced as soon as they develop bite marks or other “faults”. For hygienic reasons, it is recommended that you change the silicone teat every 1 to 2 months.
Sterilization method:
1. NUK Bottle Steam Sterilizer: Use the NUK Bottle Steam Sterilizer for 12 minutes to effectively kill harmful bacteria.
2. Boiling water disinfection: Boil water and turn off the gas (please note that you do not put the product directly into the boiling water to cook, but boil the water and then turn off the fire to sterilize), put the bottles, nipples, soothers and accessories that need to be sterilized in the boiling water disinfection for no longer than five minutes, and be careful not to touch the container.
Sterilize bottles or soothers after each use by rinsing with bottle wash. Latex and polypropylene (PP) should be sterilized at a temperature of no more than 97 degrees Celsius, and glass should be sterilized at a maximum temperature of no more than 135 degrees Celsius.
